Greetings! My name is Jada Davis, and I am a rising sophomore at the illustrious Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), where I study Public Relations. I am incredibly excited and honored to announce that I am joining the Women Into Networking community this summer as a Social Media Intern. This opportunity aligns perfectly with my passion for storytelling, media engagement, and supporting women in professional spaces.

Why This Internship Matters to Me

As a Public Relations student, I’ve grown increasingly interested in the following concepts:

  • Media Relations: Building & maintaining positive connections between brands and the public.

  • Client Representation: Ensuring the clients are listened to and represented authentically.

  • Strategic Communication: Purposely using communication to achieve an organization’s goals and objectives.

These skills all lean on the ability to tell a story, something I’m deeply passionate about. Stories can uplift voices and create authentic, lasting connections, primarily through social media, one of our generation’s most powerful storytelling tools. I’m excited to use that passion through this internship.

Why Women Into Networking?

A Community of Support

Women Into Networking dedicates its entire platform to helping women achieve personal and professional growth. Being a part of this endeavor allows me to learn from others and give back to a community that mirrors my goals.

Real-world experience in Digital Media

I’ll be working closely with the digital media team to:

  1. Develop promotional campaigns.

  2. Support outreach strategies

  3. Boost community engagement

  4. Help increase brand awareness.

This hands-on experience is a fantastic way to sharpen my communication and creativity skills.

A Space to Grow Holistically

Interning with a diverse, inspiring team offers empowerment as a professional and a woman navigating her path with intention and passion.

More About Me

Outside of academics and work, I love hobbies that keep me calm, but also feed my curiosity:

  • Reading: I’m always looking for stories with thought-provoking perspectives.

  • Music: I love discovering and mixing music, often curating playlists for my moods.

  • Food: Exploring new cuisines is one of my favorite ways (if not my favorite way) to connect with different cultures and people.

These hobbies reflect who I am: a lifelong learner, someone who’s open-minded, and someone who finds inspiration in everyday experiences.

Looking to the Future

I am genuinely grateful and ecstatic for this opportunity, and I can’t wait to contribute to the Women Into Networking team. I look forward to:

  • Sharing stories that uplift others

  • Learning from accomplished professionals

  • Making meaningful connections within this empowering community

This internship is more than just a summer role for me; it’s the beginning of my journey into what I hope to make an impact on in the Public Relations field.

Let’s connect, create, and grow together!
