Welcome to Rise Above, a transformative initiative aimed at empowering women to break free from domestic violence, rebuild their lives, and thrive independently. In partnership with Women Into Networking (WIN), local shelters, and community organizations, we offer comprehensive support services, counseling, and resources for women affected by domestic violence.
Our mission for this project is simple yet powerful: To help women reclaim their independence, find healing, and rise above adversity.
Rise Above provides a wide range of services designed to empower and support women on their journey to freedom and healing. Through our collaborations with shelters, counseling centers, legal aid organizations, and community resources, we aim to create a safe space for women to reclaim their lives.
Support Services
We partner with local shelters to provide safe housing, counseling, legal assistance, and access to essential community resources, ensuring women have the support they need during their recovery process.
Workshops & Educational Sessions
Our educational programs focus on empowering women with the knowledge and skills to recognize abuse, build self-esteem, gain financial literacy, and understand how to access legal assistance. These workshops are designed to provide essential tools for building a brighter, independent future.
Counseling Services
Rise Above offers both individual and group counseling sessions, facilitated by licensed professionals. These sessions are designed to address trauma, promote healing, and support women in rebuilding their emotional well-being.
Resource Referrals
We connect women with critical resources, including legal assistance, childcare, job training, and healthcare, ensuring they have access to all the services they need to start a new chapter in their lives.
Who Benefits the Most?
Rise Above is dedicated to supporting women aged 18 and older who are currently experiencing or have experienced domestic violence. Our services are available to women from all backgrounds and at various stages of their journey toward healing. Whether seeking immediate safety or long-term support, Rise Above is here to help women empower themselves and break free from the cycle of abuse.
Our Approach

Partnership Development
We collaborate with 10 local shelters, counseling centers, and legal aid organizations to create a network of support services that women can rely on. -
Workshop Planning
We organize 5 workshops on critical topics such as recognizing signs of abuse, building self-esteem, improving financial literacy, and navigating legal processes, with expert guest speakers providing valuable insights. -
Counseling Services
Rise Above recruits 3 licensed counselors who offer individual and group counseling in a safe, supportive environment for emotional recovery and healing. -
Virtual Legal Clinic
Our virtual legal clinic offers women weekly access to legal experts who can advise them on their rights, legal options, and how to seek protection orders or pursue legal action against abusers. -
Outreach & Awareness Campaign
We raise awareness through social media, a dedicated website landing page, WIN market networking events, and media appearances (radio and TV). This campaign ensures that women in need are aware of our services and resources.
