About the Program

Mentorship is a powerful relationship between a seasoned professional (Mentor) and an individual seeking guidance and support (Mentee). At WIN, we believe in the transformative impact of mentorship on both personal and professional growth. Our Mentorship Program is designed to provide structured support, encouragement, and resources to help women excel in their careers and achieve their goals.

 

Why Mentorship Matters

Mentorship is a cornerstone of success in any field. It provides individuals with access to valuable insights, advice, and opportunities that can accelerate their growth and development. By connecting our WIN Mentors with our Mentees (aka WINterns), we aim to foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and empowerment within our community.

 

How Mentorship Impacts the Community

Mentorship is not just about individual growth; it's about building a stronger, more supportive community. When women support each other, incredible things happen. Mentorship promotes knowledge sharing, skill development, and professional networking, ultimately contributing to the success and advancement of women in business.

 

Mentor to Mentee Relationship

The Mentor and Mentee relationship is built on trust, respect, and confidentiality. Both parties engage voluntarily and commit to a mentoring agenda that aligns with their goals and schedules. The Mentor empowers the Mentee to take ownership of their learning and career development, while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Objectives of the WIN Mentorship Program

1. To structure and elevate students to improve their learning, achieve their short/long term goals, and thereby improve their academic performance.

2. To increase team building, confidence, and interest in advancing in hands-on learning.

3. To provide behind-the-scenes insight into business structures to support networking and business practices.

Mentoring Agenda

The WIN Mentorship Program follows a structured agenda to ensure consistency and effectiveness.

1. Mentors and Mentees engage in weekly virtual meetings to discuss business goals, assignments, and projects aligned with their mutual objectives.

2. Pre-mentoring activities include completing the Mentorship application, attending an introduction/Q&A call, and agreeing to program requirements.

3. Weekly rotations involve reviewing training modules, assigning tasks, reviewing assignments, and evaluating Mentee performance.

4. Mentors communicate with Mentees via email for updates, deadlines, and assignments, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the program.

5. Final meetings focus on reviewing cumulative assignments, providing feedback, and reflecting on the mentorship experience. 6. Mentors and Mentees collaborate to finalize digital portfolios and offer suggestions for program improvement.
